These are the Droids you’re looking for. Droid, Motorola’s line of premium smartphones for Verizon, had the opportunity to get in on the celebration of Star Wars coming back to theaters. I partnered with an industrial designer to curate five character-inspired combinations of the Droid Turbo 2 in time for the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. To create a more complete custom hardware/software experience, I blended patterns from our device finishes with the Lucasfilm character photography into the smartphone wallpapers.

Apart from these just looking like cool devices, these special editions also showed off the potential of our phone-configuring Moto Maker experience and potential for future brand collaborations.
