Like many others during the pandemic, I sought to learn new skills. While not a sourdough baker, I chose to dive into the world of augmented reality. In my home office I am fortunate to be surrounded by art, and decided to use this opportunity to bring concert posters and vinyl albums to life.
uncov.ar was where I published unofficial filters. Each round had a goal of learning new spaces in design, code and interaction. With over 3 million impressions, the output caught the attention of poster artists, created collaboration opportunities with band managers, and gave fans a chance to engage with music in a new way.
In order to achieve the effects, I deconstructed the original art and built separated layers to animate in 3D space using Meta Spark
AR filters create fun effects, but how could they move beyond delightful visuals?

Concert posters are great reminders of a show, but not the whole story. This concept sought to elevate the effect with ticket stubs, photos, and setlists.
